WELCOME

Abstract Surface

This is a place for my musings and doodles. A cross between serious and silly. Big and small. Light and dark...

ART: I've been making art ever since I first got my hands on basic, kid-safe-non-toxic Disney themed watercolors when I was about 3 years old. The feeling of creating is euphoric and challenging; and probably something I will do for the rest of my life.

My work focuses on abstract, surreal and organic forms that evoke feelings of curiosity and self-reflection.

Some pieces have a realism approach, some feature original characters and others are flowing and organic.

I believe there is a flavor here for everyone's visual taste.

Each piece is unique and one of a kind created from an intuitive, deep feeling. Most recently, I've started to experiment with techniques using texture and layering to create an even deeper perspective in the work. I enjoy using elements of neurographic art and ink blots. Hopefully, as time goes on, I can merge these areas into one cohesive, flowing style.

WRITING: I've been writing since I was a dorky, middle school kid back in the mid 2000s. Fantasy places, bizarre characters and sad fan fiction ruled my world. At one point, I wanted to grow up and become a writer.

That dream still exists, just on a smaller scale. For years, I didn't pay much attention to how much I was writing. It was only journals and simple poetry which seemed so plain and lackadaisical. But then in 2023, I realized I had been writing like this, consistently, for over 10 years. Now with more effort, I started to dabble with more regular journaling, writing many more poems and rhymes, creating short stories and perhaps, ultimately, a novel.

But, for now, just ideas and thoughts. This website is my digital scrapbook.....
